Allegations of malfeasance by former corporate Directors during a shareholders civil trial vie with claims of murder and infidelity in this modern day "Philadelphia" tale of greed and retribution.
These corporate Directors are accused not only of civil crimes but also of the possibly related murder of the board Chairman. Was his accidental death on board a cruise ship actually murder? Was he killed to prevent him from making a deal with authorities at the expense of his colleagues? Or were there more intimate and personal influences at work?
A diverse jury deliberates. Each member weighs the evidence, bringing unique perspectives to the deliberations. The author leads the reader through this story of intrigue and murder to an exciting resolution of the legal drama and then provides a surprising solution to the murder mystery.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Frank Warren Swacker was born May 18, 1922 in Manhattan. The author is a second generation Wall Street lawyer. He received his B.A. (Economics) degree from Union College, a Juris Doctor from The University of Virginia School of Law and a LL.M. (International Law) from New York University Graduate School of Law. The author served for a decade as the International Counsel of a multibillion dollar conglomerate and as a director of both private and public corporations. He has acted as an advisor to major corporations, law firms and governments on trade and investment matters both here and abroad. As a former member of the Stetson University, College of Law faculty, he taught international commercial arbitration. He has appeared on television “round tables” and has lectured extensively on the W.T.O. and on doing business in various parts of the world. He is listed in WHO’S WHO IN THE WORLD, WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA and WHO’S WHO IN AMERICAN LAW. The author and his wife, Irene Michael Swacker, live in St. Petersburg, Florida.
This is the author’s seventh book and his first foray into fictional satire. Among his previous publications is the popular INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS ADVISOR FOR GOING GLOBAL (1999). He has since published WHO MURDERED MOM? (2006), and written full length two act plays. The play entitled, WHO MURDERED THE CHAIRMAN? based upon this book, only requires a cast of 8 characters. The second play, ARBITRATING MURDER? is based upon the book, WHO MURDERED MOM (2nd Ed. 2008). Author welcomes dramatization requests and will protect agents.
